Suitberto Goire has crated a remarkable collection of propaganda and daily life posters for Cuban causes and events. He lives in Santiago de Cuba where he creates his designs, for hand screened posters. Some of the posters in the collection are collaborations with another very famous poster maker, Rolando Truite.
Some very famous poster makers also worked for the Cuban Cinema and made some of the most collectable works of art in the form of posters advertising films. The Cinema had a silk-screen operation set up in the theater area where artists could work on their designs.
The difference in the prices for the propaganda posters and the Cinema posters is considerable because there are more of the cinema posters still available. Both however and fabulous examples of Cuban silk-screen design and printing. |
